January 4th  2009..."My New Years Resoltuions"

I have been writing in my personal journal for several years. It has become one of my best friends...a place to connect with my Creator, with my heart & soul...with my inner life.  I have decided it is time to start sharing my insights, my journey, my truths...with whoever  is meant to receive them.

So today I will start with my "New Years Resolutions"

I love Christmas and New Years. For me Christmas is not only the  Season of Love, but the season for Compassion. Yes we celebrate many things in the tradition of celebrating the birth of Jesus, but it's the Love & Compassion that  seems to strike me the most. The Love & Compassion that shines brightly  in a world that any other time, seems to busy to notice.

And then there is New Years. January always inspires me reflect on my life..and what I want to do in the upcoming new Year, besides just hibernating in the -30 weather.

My resolutions often start with a long "to do" list.  Somethings get done, some don't.  This year I'm going "to do" things a little differently. I still have my "to do " list, along with dreams, goals & visions and...

I have decided to start  this year with one major resolution.That resolution is to live this year with the upmost state of "Grace" I can possibly achieve...one day at a time. 

And today...I can't  even tell you the deifinition of Grace...or even explain it.  I just know what it feels like and that it has to do with the honoring of everthing and the acceptance of all things...without judgement, blame or critisim.  It may mean something different to you...but for now, what it means to me, and how I live in a state of Grace...is my New Year Resolution.
